Mimi Baby Policy
Warranty
Clear guidance on Mimi Baby’s two-year product warranty, what it covers, what it does not cover, and how to contact us if you believe your product has a manufacturing fault.
Warranty overview
Mimi Baby takes care in the quality, workmanship and dispatch checks of our products. Our warranty is designed to support customers if a manufacturing fault or workmanship defect becomes apparent during normal, intended use.
Warranty assessments are handled case by case. If a fault is confirmed after review, Mimi Baby will advise the most appropriate remedy based on the product, the nature of the issue and available parts or stock.
Standard returns where an item is unused and suitable for resale are handled separately through our Returns Policy. Warranty concerns, faulty items and safety-sensitive concerns should follow the warranty process below.
From the original date of purchase.
Proof of purchase is required for all warranty assessments.
Standard returns must be requested within 14 calendar days.
Warranty period
Mimi Baby products are covered by a two-year warranty from the original date of purchase.
This warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is not transferable. Proof of purchase is required before a warranty claim can be assessed.
This warranty applies to manufacturing faults and workmanship defects that arise during normal, intended use. It does not replace the separate 14-day standard returns process for unused items suitable for resale.
This warranty is provided in addition to any rights you may have under applicable South African consumer protection law.
What the warranty covers
The warranty covers manufacturing faults and defects in workmanship that arise during normal and intended use of the product.
Once the issue has been assessed, Mimi Baby will determine the appropriate remedy. Depending on the product and confirmed fault, this may include repair, replacement of the affected component, product replacement or another suitable remedy.
Remedies are subject to the nature of the confirmed fault, product condition, parts availability and the relevant product category.
What the warranty does not cover
The warranty does not cover damage, deterioration or issues caused by use outside the product’s intended purpose, including:
- Misuse, improper use or unreasonable use
- Incorrect assembly, fitting or adjustment
- Failure to follow the relevant product manual or care guidance
- Improper cleaning, storage or maintenance
- Accidental damage
- Damage caused by neglect
- Normal wear and tear from everyday use
- Damage caused by unauthorised repairs, modifications or replacement parts
- Damage caused by transport, courier handling or storage after delivery unless confirmed as a delivery-related issue during the correct support process
The warranty does not apply to end-of-range, clearance, sample or demo products where those items were sold without warranty coverage or with specific sale conditions.
Returns and warranty concerns are different
Standard returns apply where an item is unused, in original packaging and suitable for resale. These must be requested within 14 calendar days of receiving your order.
Warranty claims apply where you believe there is a manufacturing fault, workmanship defect, faulty component or safety-sensitive concern. These should not be submitted through the standard return process.
If you are unsure which process applies, contact Mimi Baby before sending any item back.
How to submit a warranty claim
If you believe your product has a manufacturing fault, please contact Mimi Baby before returning the item. This allows our team to review the issue and advise the correct next step.
Please include:
- Your order number or proof of purchase
- Your full name and contact details
- The product name and colour
- A clear description of the issue
- Clear photos or videos showing the concern
- Photos of any batch label, serial label or product label if available
Email: hello@mimibaby.co.za
Please do not send the product back until Mimi Baby has confirmed the return process. Unauthorised returns may delay assessment.
Assessment and next steps
Once your information has been received, Mimi Baby will review the details and may request additional photos, videos or product information before confirming the next step.
If the product needs to be physically inspected, our team will advise how the item should be returned or assessed. The final remedy will depend on the outcome of the assessment and the product’s condition.
If a manufacturing fault or workmanship defect is confirmed, Mimi Baby will advise the appropriate remedy based on the product, confirmed issue, available parts or stock and the relevant product category.
Safety-sensitive concerns
If your concern relates to AVARO, the ISOFIX base, stroller frame, wheel, brake, harness, locking mechanism or another safety-sensitive component, stop using the affected product or component and contact Mimi Baby before further use.
Always follow the relevant manual for AVARO, the ISOFIX base, the LUNO stroller and the carrycot. Standards and usage guidance apply by component, so the relevant product manual should be followed for the part being used.
Product care and manuals
Correct care helps protect product performance over time. Cleaning, adjustment, assembly and maintenance should always follow the relevant product manual.
For product manuals, setup videos or component-specific guidance, visit the LUNO Help Hub or contact Mimi Baby for support.
